Chair, Member of the Management Committee Grapes
Bill George and his wife Lesliann grow 160 acres of wine grapes in the Niagarag region, as well as harvesting and processing ice wine juice, on a farm that has been in the family since 1796. Bill had the honour of of being voted Grape King in 2001.
Bill studied horticulture at the University of Guelph. while he continued to farm he was elected to the Grape Growers of Ontario, as a board member in 1995, and moved up to chairman, a position he held for 9 years.
Bill currently holds the positions of chair for the OFVGA and is an Ontario director on the Canadian Hoticultural Council.
