Dan Tukendorf

Program Manager

Dan Tukendorf grew up in Cobourg, ON on his family’s mixed vegetables farm. He attended the University of Guelph, studying Horticulture and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science - Agriculture degree. Since then, he has spent over 20 years working in the fresh fruit and vegetable industry in areas such as quality assurance, distribution, procurement and category management for some of Canada's largest grocery retailers. 

At Loblaw Companies as a Senior Category Manager in Produce Procurement his main responsibilities included sourcing, category management and vendor/grower management, product development for a portfolio of fresh produce commodities. 

His extensive logistics, procurement and supply chain experience is a great asset to managing the Ontario Northern Fruit and Vegetable Program, Fresh from the Farm school fundraising and the OFVGA Container Fee program.
