Gordon Stock

Gordon Stock grew up on a family farm near Tavistock, Ontario. Gordon continues to be involved on the farm which now focusses on cash crops. Gordon attended the University of Guelph, initially earning a Bachelor of Commerce in Agricultural Business, and eventually went back to complete his MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management.
Gordon has over fifteen years experience in the industry, with a focus in non-profit and government program delivery and policy development. Before joining OFVGA, Gordon was team lead, regulated marketing policy with the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission, where he managed regulatory processes and focussed on issues in the Ontario processing vegetable sector. Gordon also held short term roles in the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs where he provided policy advice on various business risk management programs, and provided executive support to the ministry’s policy division. Prior to joining the ministry, Gordon was a program coordinator with the Agricultural Adaptation Council, where he supported the delivery of various provincial and federal grant funding programs to industry associations.
